Today was an ok day. As expected, I kept tossing and turning - most likely due to the anticipation of going onsite (or rather, the anxiety). I was only able finally doze off about 45 minutes after I laid down; however, I still kept waking up every few hours or so. Overall, I was able to get more or less about 6 hours, which is not bad, but could be a lot better. If anything, I’m just happy that I didn’t have any dreams. In addition, I didn’t have any of the bad 3. Panic attack/anxiety is a different thing altogether, though.
Going to and from the office was a lot easier since I left early. I think it took me only 15 minutes to head there, wherein usual rush hour traffic would be in the lines of ~45 minutes and up. The added benefit is a lot cheaper Uber fares. Speaking of work, I had a lot of tasks on my plate again the moment I clocked in, especially because it was a holiday yesterday. I swear my tasks kept on multiplying without any end in sight - it got bad to the extent that I had to talk to my colleague from Taiwan - thankfully she was empathetic. It somewhat helped in calming me down. I had about 7 new tasks today, 4 of which were document reviews. I also had an internal call to sort out some issues, and I’d like to think it was sorted out. While I was able to clock out at my desired time, I worked about 2-3 hours more.. I don’t think this will be good for my mental health in the long run.
I’m just glad that I somehow survived this week. Still at a loss since I’m firing on all cylinders, but it doesn’t seem to be enough. Time to get some rest after a very hectic week.
Overall rating for the day: 7/10
