So last update, I mentioned that my daughter had been arrested, that apparently was the Tip of the iceberg. She spent the night in jail and my aunt called me and said she believed she was having another psychosis. She tried to get her admitted to the hospital but she was still functional and not hallucinating yet that we knew of so they released her. She later became VERY paranoid so my cousin took her into a different hospital and she was admitted. They treated her for a week and released her with a bus ticket home, instructions to stay away from weed and adjustments to the medication she had previously been given to take as needed. She had a friend who said she could stay with them and so that’s what she did. Until she started having yet another psychosis. The paranoia had never left but it intensified after the hospital and she began having hallucinations and delusions again. This time I had to trick her into the hospital because she was very convinced her abusive father was stalking her and had to have the police come and reassure her he wasnt outside the house with a gun. She also thought she had a gunshot wound and only agreed to go to hospital to get it checked. while driving there, she thought he had mysteriously figured out where we were going and decided it wasnt safe. I assured her it was safe and we got parked but then she said the flickering lights told her it wasn’t safe and that he was already inside. I told her if that’s the case we needed to go inside and alert security so she kept going until she heard the fans. I had to hold her while she cried, terrified because the sound said it wasn’t safe and we continued inside to ” alert security”. She has been in hospital ever since. They now believe that, while weed definitely played a part, she probably has the onset of schizophrenia. She still says she doesn’t think she needs to be there but at least they have started her on a medicine in the hopes that it helps. That’s all for now.
