Dreams in Book 1

I had a dream last night that you were somewhere in the room 

And I didn't know for sure, I just knew that you were there 

I felt your presence on my back and on my shoulders 

And I slept like I haven't slept in years

You laid behind me and wrapped your arm around my chest 

And I fell into all the hopes and dreams and fantasies we talk about 

All at once they were all in front of me as you held me tight 

And I slept like I haven't slept in years 

You whispered my name into my ear and told me everything was going to be okay

And for the first time in years I felt like I could see exactly what someone meant 

I felt your words seep in through my ears and rest against my soul 

And I slept like I haven't slept in years 

I had a dream and you could feel me there 

I had a dream and I held you tight and told you everything was going to be okay 

I had a dream and we both reached for each other 

And we slept like we hadn't slept in years.
