Another " box dinner dupe"
The kids dont remember eating this one boxed, but T and I do. Is the chicken (hambrger) helper with cheese in it.
So here is how I made this one for 8.
2 lbs broccoli.
2 lbs chicken diced and marinated.
3 cans cream of mushroom soup condenced.
1 can of whole milk.
3 cups of rice.
8-10 oz of velveeta cheese.
marinade.
2-3 crushed garlic cloves.
2 tablespoons melted butter.
favorite seasonings ( I use salt, pepper, paprika, a blend similar to mrs dash but is a made in Alaska brand we still order down here)
Mix together and marinate chicken cubes overnight.
Saute chicken in olive oil till brown. Dump in your pan.
Warm up frozen broccoli so its not watery, Drain water, Dump in your pan
Cook rice to 2/3rds the way soft. Seriously... Dump in the pan.
Warm up the soup with the milk in the rice pot till mixed. Dump in the pan.
Cube velveeta ( remember im duping this boxed dinner, Use cheddar if you want!) on top of chicken.
Mix as well as you can! its THICK.
Sprinkle another healthy dose of seasonings on top!
Put in the oven at 375 till the cheese is melting into the rice. Mix well and serve.
You could probably stove top it instead of in the oven.
Also, you could freeze this after dumping and cook later!
Kids went batty for it haha.
