New year, new Prosebox survey in Site Updates (Josh)

Hey everyone,

Happy new year! I can’t believe it’s already 2025, what in the world happened to 2024?!

Buffy and I have been busy behind the scenes making various small improvements to infrastructure and fighting the spam that invariably shows up every day, but I’m happy to share that the reporting feature has been working super well! So those of you that have been reporting spam: we appreciate you!!

Spammers have unfortunately continued to get more sophisticated and it’s an ongoing battle, so if you happen to see a captcha pop up here or there, that’s what’s going on. We’re doing our best to build things out in a way that will keep annoyance to a minimum, but do let us know if things seem broken or strange.

Alright, now for the real reason for this post — Buffy and I are currently sitting at a coffee shop brainstorming the 2025 Prosebox roadmap, and thought it would be fun to survey the community directly to get your input on what comes next. It’s also an opportunity to see how the community has evolved over time, as it’s somehow been almost six years since the last survey. We’re clearly overdue!
