Since moving to Japan, my ferret has enjoyed sleeping with me in my bed almost every night. In the U.S. she preferred sleeping alone. Occasionally in my bed but never next to me, I wasn’t allowed to be too close or she’d skedaddle.

We were separated for about 6 months so maybe the separation made her feel sad enough to want my presence more often now that we’re together again.

Of course, she has multiple of other places she can sleep in but I always find her sleeping in my bed nowadays.

I appreciate it.

And to answer the most commonly asked question: No, I am not scared I will crush her in my sleep.

She turns 6 in 2025. I’ve had her since she was 3 months old. She’s always been a sweetheart.
