Headed out this evening to my Girl Crush’s new house! She and her wife are having a Homewarming party and I’m excited to go and see the place!
I actually had a sneak peek on Monday when I went to Girl Crush’s neighbor’s house after working with Head Cat all day. I only saw the outside, but it’s a small bungalow in a super eclectic neighborhood with all kinds of interesting characters. I am dying to see who shows up tonight!
Today was a slow-ish workday, so I used some of my down worktime to tend to house-type things. I guess that’s cheating, but I also guess that’s what happens when you work remotely?
My big distressing discovery is that there are either mosquitoes or some other type of biting bug in my apartment and I’m losing my mind over it. I have been bitten about a dozen times and these bites turn into HUGE raised bumps that itch a million times worse than a normal mosquito bite. I can’t see them, so I’m thinking they are not mosquitos. But I also know they are not bed bugs or fleas. What could these fuckers be?! These bites are NO JOKE!
Okay, I’m done for the day and I’m dropping Martini off at C.’s place with his suicidal brother. They had such a fantastic time together while I went to Nashville the other weekend, so I thought that it would be nice if she stayed there tonight so I can have a late night for once!
I’m also getting up early tomorrow to go to my volunteer thing. It’s only a few hours and will start at 8:30, so there will be enough time for those guys to sleep in and then I’ll likely take C’s brother to brunch or at least coffee or something for taking the dog. He absolutely LOVES her and I couldn’t be more happy about finding someone to take her occasionally since her boarding place is weird.
