And.. we're back! in Site Updates

Hey everyone,

Looks like we’re back in action after a brief full-panda blip! Never underestimate what a talented developer can accomplish over their lunch break. 💪

The front page and entry search are both fixed, though we’re keeping an eye on things. As a part of those fixes, we removed the leftover bit of code from a few years ago that triggered this whole fiasco. It’s all related to the engine that powers entry search, which when we built it years ago was VERY over-engineered for the needs of our small community. When it breaks, it’s a bit of a drama llama about it. Hopefully that’s all over now.

Unfortunately, it looks like journal export and forgot password are also still broken at the moment. My first guess would be that that’s something to do with how the site sends emails, but I just checked and the new user welcome emails are still working, so not totally sure. Ah, the mysteries of software engineering.

Anyway, we’ll be looking into those next. Stay tuned.
