Goodfellas in The Wanderer

I went out to Redlands last night to see Derek because he is house sitting for his sister and brother in law. I was surprised that the drive was literally only 20 minutes and Redlands is actually really nice! Could be a moving option! Anyway, their house is beautiful! His brother in law is a chiropractor and they have two kids. The house was literally immaculate…marble counter tops, lush furniture. I wonder how Derek feels about his sister’s life, especially since she is younger than him.
Anyway, I wanted to see Derek because I knew he was all by himself out there and I didn’t want him to be binge drinking. It has been a discussion we have had to have a few times. He kept promising me he wasn’t drunk. Well by the time I got there, he seemed pretty buzzed. So we had a really nice long talk about everything and I hope I got through to him on a few things. I had stuff to stay the night there in case Margot bailed on me, which I would not have been surprised. Well surprisingly she called and said she would be at my house between 9 and 9:30 so I left and went back home to get ready. 10 rolls around and I am waiting on her as usual.....then I get a text message saying “Fuck. I am getting pulled over. Another speeding ticket.” I was like Great. Either she is making that up, or she really is getting one. I called Peter and told him to just pick me up and we’d meet her there. Peter gets to my house around 10:40 and Margot calls me pissed off saying she is in the parking lot waiting for us and to hurry up. Oh okay, let me rush right over there even though we waited all night for her! Blah. By the time we get there it is pretty much 11 and we hung out for a good hour talking about all sorts of stuff. She kept making rude comments like, “Yeah now that I am pretty much Gil’s girlfriend I know he doesn’t like me hanging out with you because he says you are a slut and he doesn’t want me to act that way being around you…” I was just like Oh okay..funny because she has way more slutty ways than I do. I admit, I have had my promiscuous days, and I’ve done a lot of shitty things like cheat and treat guys like crap…but I’m actually in a very committed relationship at the moment. I pretty much told Peter and Margot that I am nervous for Derek to meet my friends because I know most of them have a certain perception of me because of my past, and a lot of them still think of me as That Natalie. And Derek doesn’t know That Natalie and he never will because I’m not that girl anymore. Blah. Anyway, it’s almost midnight by this point and Margot is already complaining that she is tired and wants to go home. We decide to go inside and dance for a bit, and I got one more drink. Margot makes another rude comment about this “ugly girl with a big nose” and then sits down next to some crazy ghetto girls purses. I sat next to her and the ghetto bitches come up and basically tell us to get the fuck away from their purses. I was like Um Ok and quickly move so they could get their shit. Then Margot opens her mouth and says, “What the fuck BITCH”. Opps wrong thing to say. Next thing I know, three ghetto chicks are pounding Margot’s face, grabbing her hair, kicking her. Some big dude steps in to try to stop. I ran to grab the bouncer. Margot runs out of the place with blood all down her lip and kick marks up her arm and her hair all crazy. She was PISSED and was yelling about pressing charges and how they need to kick those crazy bitches out…the bouncer just said all parties involved need to leave immediately, with her being first since they didn’t want another confrontation. Margot was like K fuck it I’m out of here and storms off pissed, leaving me and Peter thinking WTF just happened!! It was intense. And it all happened within the short time period Peter decided to use the restroom. I swear. Crazy shit always happens when I go out with my friends. This is why I just like to stay at home with Derek, drink at his house, hang out in the spa, cook dinner together and have a relaxing evening!! If only he didn’t have a crazy roommate, things could be relaxing like that every night! Needless to say, I won’t be going out again for awhile......too much drama and I need to be saving my money anyway!
