Really odd how some people just don’t like to talk about somethings that is going on in the USA. All they say is educate yourself because it’s complicated. How complicated can building the wall be and people wanting to come and make a better life for themselves? Why is it so wrong not to allow them to go threw the proper channals? Here in canada we are a lot more kind because everyone has to go threw the process and the only way we deport people is if they have a criminal record or if they are here and do a crime we will deport them. I wonder if people think not talking about issues if they will just go away? And if people don’t like something why don’t they try to do something about it? And from what I have read it’s not all that comlicated and it only takes about two years while it takes about 5 years to become a Canadian. But after two years you can apply for permenet citizenship. The information I have found so far about being a US citizen is really not that compicated so I am not sure how people can say this? I just think that there should be no hate or racism towards the people who want to live in the USA. But there is and that is just so sad.
I have a question? Why is it people in the USA hate the mexicans so much? And if the USA doesn’t want them to cross the border then why not make it more difficult for them to do so? Like only allow entry into the country by air and they have to go to the airport? There is a better way to welcome everyone and there should be no discimination so people don’t want to come. There is a way to welcome everyone who wants to become a USA citizen but the laws won’t change. It shouldn’t be so hard to come to a country that you have heard how great it is. I know I still have a lot to learn and I will it will just take some more time. But I have nothing but time so that is a good thing.

Oto something else…

My son will be comming for breakfast so he says but no matter when he gets here I will be so happy. We won’t be doing much but that is okay just having him here is the best. And dinner tonight will be something that is easy....Maybe pork chops? and some sort of vegetable and rice or noodles.

Well, I need to stop here…
Do have a great day....
Be Kind, Be Calm, Be Safe and Behave.

You are obviously referring to my note I left you yesterday. I did not say I do not want to talk about the situation. What I said is that I do not want to talk to YOU about the situation because you lack a very basic knowledge of the situation.

You continue on in this entry making a very broad generalization that people in the USA hate Mexicans (your words: Why is it people in the USA hate the mexicans so much?)

Your lack of knowledge of what is happening on the border is appalling. And that's OK. Just don't make uneducated comments and entries about it.

Here's a clue, it is not entirely Mexicans attempting to cross the border. It's very easy to find information on other nationalities trying to gain access to the US via the US/Mexican border. Educate yourself.

I am trying to but there is only so much I am finding. maybe you can find a link for me because the only links I seem to find are froom a Canadian point of view. And your information you know are from the USA and no other countries.

Here's just a small hint at some of the reasons having an open border doesn't work well. It isn't about racism. There are plenty of legal immigrants who come here.

Thank you so much for the link. It answered some of my questions and it's based from the uSA and not any other country. All the stuff I looked up was about Canada going to another country and I didn't want that.
This is what Canada does nd it seems to be working very well. Maybe the uSA needs to do this also?

It does sound like Canada has a healthy (balanced) approach.

I notice they mentioned that because of Canada's location, they haven't had to deal with the large numbers some other countries have.

I also notice that if there are those who have applied as refugees, they will have work permits expedited while they are waiting to find whether they are accepted, so they will be self-supporting. That is highly practical.

It seems Canada, in determining their policies is applying lessons learned from the 2017 influx of border crossings. I wonder what that was about.

Jodie Cathy ⋅ October 07, 2023

Was that back in 2017 because of the war with the middle east? Or from something else..because we did have refugies from middle Eastern counries and they are all doing really good.

Cathy Jodie ⋅ October 07, 2023

Unfortunately, here it has become too politicized, with one party wanting lots of irregular immigration. All of the conflict doesn't help develop a rational approach.

theKat October 07, 2023

people crossing over in the thousands every single day with no money and no place to live... they pile up on streets and each city has no way to really support them as they have their own homeless in that area. and it is not Mexicans it is people from all over south America . don't be surprised if they don't start going in to Canada soon. can you imagine 50,000 people who do not speak your language just building tarp like tents and begging for food, breaking into your homes and stealing in order to survive? It would cut away from the help your receive because there would be so many more needy people far worse than you.

Jodie theKat ⋅ October 07, 2023

I did read that if people want to come to canada they need to know the language so there is that. And the people crossing into the USA should be required to know the language also before they come or have to go back home. Why don't they have programs for these people so they don't live on the streets? And why isn't the process of immigration started when they first walk across the border?
This is what canada does and maybe the USA should do the same>

theKat Jodie ⋅ October 07, 2023

LMAO You can say that but when they are flooding the borders thousands and thousands at a time EVERY day trust me... they don't care if they know the language. just saying that won't make a difference at all

Jodie theKat ⋅ October 07, 2023

Well they need to have a proper screening and to determin if they are ligit or not.

FragileGlass October 07, 2023

The thing is they CHOOSE to cross illegally.
They could go through legal channels if they wanted to, many do.
Stop claiming it is a racial issue.
You could petition your country to help.

Jodie FragileGlass ⋅ October 08, 2023

How can my country help? We are no where near mexico? And it's not me being racists it's the republicans that are...I think that everyone who crosses the border should have the same opertunities to procedd leagally.

FragileGlass Jodie ⋅ October 08, 2023

I personally am not worried about it, the government will work it out.
Your country could send money.

Jodie FragileGlass ⋅ October 08, 2023

I am just one person who lives no where near Mexico so what good would me saying anything do? But you could ask Canada to help?

FragileGlass Jodie ⋅ October 08, 2023

I think you are just the type of person who likes to stir the pot.
You see a powder keg and like to throw lit matches at it.
You don’t want to help you just want to stir trouble.
Pathetic.

Jodie FragileGlass ⋅ October 08, 2023

Actually no I am not and at least I have said what could be done but it seems that the American governemnt is just too cheap and don't care like the people do. Why isn't this an issue here in Canada?

FragileGlass Jodie ⋅ October 08, 2023

Whatever 🙄
