Property Update #19- Mortgage in Tennessee

On 8/30/23 we went to our manufactured home place (a new one) and met with our new representative. We have just been emailing her thus far so this was the first time we met her in person. I was thinking that we would be ready to re activate our mortgages and put in the order for our homes to get the show on the road.

So when it comes to bestie, her and her hubby are able to get approved for about the same as they had before with a different mortgage company. So they are good to go. Me on the other hand, I may need to rethink. The mortgage interest rates went up to nearly 8%.. sometimes 9%. So the mortgage company I originally applied for is probably going to be a no go. I also was approved for a lot less than I thought at first due to my income.

I will be going back to the drawing board in terms of my plan. I may do some more heavy research on shipping container homes. I may look into smaller models of manufactured homes. I just know I won’t be getting the home I planned on getting originally. And that’s okay. I don’t have any deadlines. Bestie has to be out of her house ASAP because its a rental and their rent keeps going up and up. So I can comfortably live with her as long as I need to. The house they are getting is going to be loads and loads better than the one we are renting now. It’s so spacious!
