My Discovery [Friends Only Entry] Sunday, March 07, 2004

It's nice having good days. Last night was one of them. I went to my old roommate's apartment and hung with them, which I do most every Saturday night. We had a lot of fun. Then we went to the bar and I had a really good time there too. I hung with Jeff, Kyle and Lisa... then something strange happened. Kumbi showed up and we danced for awhile and I actually enjoyed it. Then I had a feeling that my roommates wanted to leave so I went and spoke with them for a bit. Then an even stranger thing happened. They all left, and I stayed. Some guy hit on me and bought me a drink and we talked for a bit. I got annoyed with him so I got up and I was getting ready to leave. I did one more glance around the bar for Kumbi and I turned to leave the bar when this guy stops me and says,

"Are you leaving?"

So I said, "I think so."

"Why are you leaving?"

"Because I am bored."

The conversation went on and he started making me laugh. We kept talking and I kept laughing and we went out side and talked in his car. We talked for about an hour and he got a call and had to leave. Which is fine and all. I am sure he was just looking for sex, but here's what was great about the situation.

I learned that it is possible for me fall for someone again. It's been a long time since I let myself be comfortable around someone. Sure, I was drunk, but I still felt something for this guy. We didn't exchange numbers or anything, but the hour of talking and laughing was nice. He even kissed me. I haven't kissed someone in forever. It was really great. And to think, I wouldn't have met him with out Kumbi being there. The main reason I stayed at the bar was to try to find him again. Instead I found an hour of happiness and I discovered that I can in fact fall for someone again. How beautiful.
