The interviews went well yesterday. One for NestGSV and the other with Redwood City Public Library. I also had my first day with Christopher Elbow chocolates yesterday as well. Everything went swimmingly well, but I have to say, I'm really not interested in working for the R.C.P.L. It's a part time gig, 5-15 hours only on weekends and nights. Who is anyone kidding, why would I take that!? I wanted to go on the interview though, why say no to an open door when you haven't looked inside yet? And the chocolate gig was pretty awesome. Easy, and non-stressful, but definitely not a long term thing.
Today I go in for my second day. Chocolate is delicious, co-workers are pretty cool, customers are friendly. But it's not a forward step, it's a side step. Not a bad step, but just a step none the less.
Monday I have my interview with Digital Promise! I'm hoping to not be at the chocolate place for very long, and land a job with either D.P or NestGSV. Both full-time positions, at my boyfriend's office, and can make some forward steps into my career.
I don't need luck, I need patience. Something I'm learning to have, sorta. But in the meantime I'll be working at the chocolate shop and hoping to get one of those FT jobs.
Sometimes I just want to update because at the end of the day it's all sorta confusing and when I look back at this post in a year or two I can be thankful that I kept my patience and kept my eye on my vision.
