every day not the same in 2014

The problem with writing these entries at work is that I end up getting busy/distracted/etc and they all end up half-finished. The problem with not writing them at work is that they'll never even get started.

Not that anything's that important, but as I previously explained - I want the recorded memories...even if they're lame. =)
And they're all "boy" things. ha.

Speaking of: Yesterday this guy Chris came into the office. Funny fella. The kind of person that makes me realize how different personalities can be and how they each bring out a different side of me. He was up at the front desk finishing up some stuff and he was really easy to joke around with. I like those kind of people. You can tease and laugh about stuff and they play right along. They're the ones that bring out the best in me, I think. The easy, no worries, happy side of me.

He called me by my name [the plus side of wearing a name-tag?] and was leaned in kinda close. I didn't mind much though. Like I said, it's a good side of me that I don't hate bringing out. It's hard to do that on my own.

I did notice a stark difference when the bright eyes guy came in a bit before and tried to make small talk. It wasn't even close to the same, and although I've seen Chris a lot more I've never spoken with him. I mean it was nice that he made an effort to chat. Asked me how my day was and it caught me off guard. Then we had a quick talk about long days and getting busy. We joked about my "technician" status once, but still not the same. Interesting how that happens.

Saw CK today. I took a break from work to go pick up stuff for dinner around 5 and as I backed up out of the space I saw his truck coming down the street. He ended up turning into the entrance that I was going to exit. When I came to the front I was watching him and honked the horn. Kinda bad timing though because he was about to turn and I distracted him. heh.

He looked over and I waved. Then when he finished turning in the lot he looked back over and waved again. The only thing is that I maybe took 10 mins max at the store and by the time I came back he was gone. Either he just picked up a coffee and left, or decided not to stick around for some reason.

I've seen him almost every day in the last week. Like every one except Sunday and I didn't work that day. Actually a couple of those days I only saw him from afar or he waved at mom through the window. But still. Before this I maybe saw him once every couple months. Now it's every day?

He told me last Friday that he only leaves the canyon if he has a reason to. Could he maybe be addicted to coffee? I wonder...

Anyways, the pace is starting to pick up at work. We've been getting out around 7pm this week. I assume that will progressively get later and later. It doesn't feel that bad though. I'm happy to be working and getting things done. As long as I remember to eat and go to sleep at a decent hour, we're good to go!

On that note.

rose.
