Day 12 (13th July): Wurtheim in Honeymoon

We spent the morning in Wurtheim today, finally leaving Bavaria. The day was dreary though, and it rained all morning, so we didn't do much. Also, since it was Sunday, most stores were not open, so the small town looked like a ghost town.

The ship parked close to the town center, although anywhere is close to the town center; you can probably walk the from one end of the town to the other in 10 minutes. We had a guide who has a very strong accent and difficulty speaking English, so it was a bit difficult to follow. The town is quaint and pretty; a lot of mideaval architecture, though we didn't spend too much time there, since La Professeure is feeling a cold coming on. We did, however, spend a significant amount of time in the glass blower's shop and sank a bunch of euros there. I hope the pieces we got stay in one piece.

The faces and names of fellow travellers are starting to blend for me, and it gets more and more tiring to remember them. However, I have gained some sort of fame now, apparently, because people keep asking me when I practice; it turns out that people who have heard me practising told their friends about me, and now everyone wants a concert.

Anyway, today should be a leisurely day; we left dock around 1pm and will be sailing. The company is good at keeping us occupied though; there isn't a lot of facilities on this ship, unlike ocean cruisers, so they try to make it up by organising activities like performances, demonstrations, or trivia games to occupy our time. I like it, especially since most of the passengers know each other, that makes it more fun to participate in, otherwise it would be no fun to play the games with strangers.
