Salt In The Wound in Life As I Know It - 2022

Yesterday Kirsten called me in tears. Back in November, right before Thanksgiving she was pulled over for accidentally running a red light. Her insurance had lapsed so she was given a paper saying she had a certain number of days to remedy it and she had to surrender her tags and registration for 90 days.

Fast forward to yesterday. She got a call from the court saying she had 2 bench warrants for her arrest!!! Apparently they had sent her a citation for $486 and she never got it. She didn’t know she had a fine or a court date which she missed. Hence the warrants.

The woman from the court said she was sending Kirsten an email and advised her to plead not guilty. That would cancel the warrants. So she did that.

She told the woman the cop never handed her a citation. She only was given the notice to surrender her tags. The woman said to bring all of that to court. Her court date is in February I think.

She just cant catch a break. She told me she isn’t going to act on anything but her thoughts were in a very dark place.

Pat is meeting with her for lunch today. To try to give her some fatherly advice. She calls him dad and thinks of him as her father. Shes never felt that way about anyone I’ve ever been with so it makes me happy that feels she can go to him.

Just please send up some prayers that she gets a break soon. It’s been bad lately.

She just doesn’t need this on top of the crap from the school. Oh and she also has to have surgery to repair the hernia she had repaired last year. The mesh moved out of place. Ugh!!!!!

She should ask if it were sent certified mail so she was to sign for it. Way too much mail these days does not make it to where it should go.
