Her Prince [Friends Only Entry] Tuesday, November 12, 2002
Keith didn't end up coming over tonight. This is no big surprise to me. He didn't call or anything. I can't help but be hurt. I try so hard to make myself believe that it's no big deal. Jeff, Klye, and their girls all went out and watched movies together. I am sitting here alone again. That's no big deal. I have to get up early and go to work anyway. I now want Keith to stop calling me completely. If I never hear from him again it would be a blessing. Well, he just called. But we got disconnected. I wonder if he'll call me back tonight. Probably not. Leave me alone, Keith.
I wish so much that there was a way for wishes to come true. I wish there was such thing as fairy tales. I wish my prince would come and wisk me away from this hole I have created for myself. I wish someone would look into my eyes and and and...

She stood before him. Her hair lay flat around her sad face. Her eyes showed bright even though her spirit fell dark. She was wearing gray sweat pants and a blue sweat shirt that hung a bit too long over her pants. The night air was brisk and she stood there in front of him shivering.
He looked into her eyes and reached out to hold her in his big strong arms. She tried to back away from his grasp, but he grabbed ahold of her and pulled her close to him. At first she wanted to push him back but all of a sudden she felt the need to be there. Her face fell flat against his chest and she buried her face from the rest of the world. He remained holding her tightly. It had been so long since someone wanted to hold her that she had forgotten what it felt like. She couldn't help but feel faint and suddenly she felt as though she might fall. He wouldn't allow that though. He simply kept holding her until tears began to fill her eyes. However, instead of telling her not to cry he told her to go ahead. He explained to her that no one cared if she cried. He told her that if crying was what made her feel better, then that is what she should do. Of course, as he spoke she broke down completely. He just kept holding her as she wept. When she was finished crying he pushed her lightly away from him and looked deep into her eyes. So deeply that she couldn't help but get lost in his eyes. Then he spoke with all honesty and sincerity. "I loved you then." He paused. "I love you now." He paused. "I will love you forever more."
