Dad in 2022

Today is the 19th anniversary of my father’s death.
I’m sad. The pain is not nearly as raw as it used to be, but I miss him fervently.
I wish my kids could have met him.
I’ll survive. It’s a busy day, but the sad is just always in the background, tinging everything.

I'm sorry. I can't imagine it ever gets easier. I hope you can continue to remember and honor him in your own way.
