It Feels Nice to be Wanted in Life Journal

If anyone reading these posts is familiar with a lot of the entries I’ve made, you’d know that I’ve recently gone through a pretty awful breakup. Not only that, but I’m a recent college graduate looking for a job. And if you haven’t noticed, this labor market is awful as we head into a recession. Since May, I’ve probably applied to over 350 jobs and have only interviewed at maybe ~10 places and have not received any offers. I spoke with a friend’s dad who owns his own company and he wanted to talk to me about a job offer. Though, I’m a little apprehensive about the position as I’ll just be working as a receptionist among other administrative duties. When I asked if I could give him an answer in a couple days he began to worry I was entertaining another company and practically was begging me to take the position. Whether I take the position or not, it feels nice to be wanted by a company albeit due to nepotism.
