safe love in addressing the public

questions and answers
are we flying too high?
i just want to feel sure
i don’t want to cry

but validation still
it’s the air that i breathe
scared i’ll be too much for you
and not enough for me

the stakes are much higher
and i’m feeling resistance
knowing i’m seeking acceptance
without any conditions

can i tolerate difference
after being traumatized
