getting hotter in addressing the public

i’m hoping you’ll be truest blue
i may not know you all too well
it’s getting hotter in my room
but it’s not from the summer swell

for you, for me i want to be
someone better for myself
to know i’m worthy of belief
while working through my mental health

i see a picture that’s on paper
i hear a voice that’s through a screen
i think that maybe one day, later
i’d like to paint you all my dreams

nearly far from the same places
a complement is what i seek
the stars aligned at key locations
but first i wait to hear you speak
