It's been a hectic day, but it's not bad. The repairmen came today, and had the job finished within two hours -- now we have a new water softener and a reverse osmosis filter for the kitchen. We're on a well, so the water isn't exactly the best. The osmosis system will take care of the impurities and I hope, improve the taste of what is coming out of the faucet.
I made a huge batch of spaghetti sauce today; with enough left over for several meals. It's not complicated but it does take time for the sauce to simmer down to a nice tomato-ey consistency. The biggest nuisance is that it has to be stirred fairly often, as it will scorch in a heartbeat if you leave it alone. J was very happy about it. -- he likes my from scratch meals.
I've spent most of the evening getting caught up here with my connections. I've had a few error messages, but nothing as what it has been lately. And I got an email that the payment is 'in process.' Eh. If it comes through, I'll be happy.
And tonight was Manhattenhenge! But there were clouds, alas. This neat phenomena will happen again tomorrow at 8:16 pm, EDT.
