I just found out that the director who hired my incapable support person is leaving the company…tomorrow! So I asked her about where we stand with all of our projects and she said, “Don’t worry. Everything is in good hands.”
Um. Really?
I don’t feel like talking about it.
Speaking of good hands, if all goes to plan, after speaking with my surgeon this afternoon, I’ll be getting my 1st post-cancer colonoscopy AND having my chest mediport taken out on Thursday morning.
The scheduling came fast and furiously after there was a cancellation so I’m snagging it - provided the doc is ok with the time. This means I’ll need to start cleansing my colon tomorrow! Since I did three colon preps in a row last year (colonoscopy and two surgery preps within three weeks of each other), I still have some of the prep left over, but there are other things I need to get for my prep, such as broth, sprite (I used Gatorade last year, but just the thought of Gatorade gives me PTSD now), jello, gummy bears (you can eat the clear and yellow ones, did you know this?), and soft wipes. Oh, and I think there’s some butt cream too. And the kicker: magnesium citrate. I seem to always have issues cleaning the colon out completely, so I require a little extra kick.
Oh boy! Aren’t you glad you clicked on this entry?
Well, if you’ve gotten this far and are 45 years old (or even younger if you’re having suspicious things happening in your belly or with your poop), I highly recommend bringing it up to your doctor and insisting that you get a colonoscopy. Check things out. Trust me, you do NOT want to go through what I went through last year. No way. No how. Hells naw.
I say this with love: put your butt in good hands and make sure nothing is wrong.
Here’s to clear colons for all,
GS
