Kim in Days of My Destiny

Australian comedian Dave Hughes is coming to Tamworth. I live an hour away from there and so we are considering going to see him. He's a bit of a dag but I like him and it would be a great night out!

We actually invited Kim and her husband over for a curry night on the night that Dave is in Tamworth, so we've actually invited them along too! We figure, we could all crash at the one house and have all our kids babysat! They pay for their kids, we pay for ours. Kim said they'll think about it and that either way, even if they don't go, we should still go and we can have a curry night another time.

Kim is actually moving away towards the end of this year. I can't remember her reasons but they are building a block about an hour away. Even though I don't see her that often, I will miss her. She's from Sydney and has been here for about 4 years roughly. She's positive and she really is the one person out of anyone here that can understand exactly how I feel from time to time. Nobody else I know here is from THE CITY - everyone has always lived in small towns or outback towns. And there really is a difference. Helen for example... this town is the biggest town she's ever lived in! That idea alone makes me want to choke, lol. Anyway... so even though Kim and I rarely even talk about what it's like to live here, we just have this common ground, this unspoken understanding.... and I really appreciate that.

She has put her house on the market. It is a BEEEEEEEEEE-AUTIFUL house. We are considering purchasing it............!!!!!!!!!!!!!! It's only an idea that occurred to us over the weekend. We could afford the repayments and in the meantime our money would go into an investment rather than simply in rent and fuel. We would SAVE HEAPS on fuel, too. Still, we would miss this little piece of paradise....... and we do wonder if we WOULD seriously buy that house... because this place where we are right now.... we will NEVER live in a place like this AGAIN.

But yeah.... ideas..... talks..... dreams............... L is going to find out if we have enough equity on our own home first. We'll go from there.
