Closer to Closing in New Beginnings

I was supposed to close on my condo Friday, but I requested some repairs, which the seller agreed to. However, he needed an extra week to make said repairs, hence the delay.
I'm taking next Friday off. I'm going to rent a U-Haul, pack and load my stuff at my current place, drive back to Snellville to do the same at my storage unit, and complete most of my moving after I close. I also purchased a desk from Office Depot, and scheduled an in store pick up on Friday, so I'll have to do that. I normally would have waited until after I moved in, but the desk I was looking at was on sale for $100 off its normal price, but the sale ended today. Furthermore, there's an appliance liquidator in on the way to my storage unit, so I want to stop by and see if I can find a deal on a washer and dryer. If I can, I'll likely save about $800. I may even see if I can get a mattress on the way, then I'll basically be moved in.
I'm excited. Nervous, but excited. It'll just be flat out glorious to have my own place
As a slight aside, we migrated over to a new accounting system last month, and we're currently doing our first month closing in the new system. It's like a water slide down the seven rings of Hell. I look forward to having my own place to take the edge off the stress.

It amazes me how fast the process is in other states to buy and close on a place. Here, the min is 2 months. We waited almost 3 because the seller couldn't get an old mortgaged closed out in time. We ended up "closing at risk" and it took them almost a full year to get it taken care of!
