Wow. It has been a long time since I have posted here. I have been so super busy! Life just never ceases to slow down and let me catch my breath. Between my mom being sick, my daughter being sick, and now me being sick I think we have passed so many germs around this house that we will have to sanitize the whole thing before anyone can come over to visit!

My friend's dad is sick with cancer right now. The dr's have given him very little hope for a recovery, and right now the goal is pain management. It makes me sad to lose such a wonderful person. I know that God is truly gaining an Angel in heaven though. I wish there was something more I could do to comfort the family. It is so hard to know that someone close to you is going to die.

My daughter will soon be done with school for the year. It is scary to think that I will soon have a second grader. How can that be? Seems like just yesterday we were at the hospital and she was too small to fit in the car carrier. It is truly amazing to watch my little one grow into a small woman who is full of life and love. She never ceases to amaze me. Just the other day when it rained she wanted to stop and save every worm on the way to the bus stop so they wouldn't get run over by cars. She's so full of compassion.

My arthritis has gotten much worse lately. My hands ache all the time now. It doesn't matter how much I do the therapy and take Tylenol or ibuprofen. They just ache. Often times I can't grip things anymore. For instance, the other day at church while doing the coffee set up I dropped the coffee pot because my hands just couldn't hold onto it. Not only is it embarrassing, it's painful. I am far too young to be having these issues already. Hopefully it holds off a bit until I can find a new job where I don't have to rely on my hands in life or death situations. It would be catastrophic if I were trying to cuff someone and my hands just wouldn't work. It could hurt not only me but my partner. So scary.

Well, I hear thunder rumbling outside. I think it is time for me to go check out the impending thunder storm. I love storms.
