Fucking Whiners in Random Rants

Seeing people whine about not being able to see their families for Christmas is just the fucking most, ain’t it? These people would risk grandma’s life, risk not having all the same family members around for next Christmas, to stuff themselves with food and to worship at the temples of materialism and consumerism. And they just fucking whine about it like there aren’t over a quarter of a million American families with empty seats at their tables because of COVID-19.

They don’t think it could happen to them.

Isn’t there some football player or something who has lost like EIGHT family members to COVID? The children who have lost both parents, like one 5-year-old boy I read about. He lost both of his parents this year and just had his 5th birthday. Happy Birthday, little buddy. I know people personally who have been affected. Not blood relatives, but chosen family. Odds are, we all know someone, at least one person, who has been affected. Either they’ve gotten sick themselves and didn’t die but now have conditions they didn’t have before, or they’ve lost a family member or friend. I’m pretty sure at this point that every single community in this country has lost at least one person, you know?

But ya’ll gonna whine about Christmas, just like you whined about Thanksgiving, just like you wined about haircuts and all-you-can-eat breadsticks at the Olive Garden.

And ya’ll are gonna end up whining on GoFundMe for fucking funeral expenses in the new year, probably, because you’re too selfish and too stupid… no, you’re not stupid, you’re a willfully ignorant asshole who whines about “conflicting information” blahblahblah. There is no conflicting information.

Stay home.
Only go out for essentials.
Wash your hands, you filthy animal.
Wear a mask.
Don’t gather with people who are not a part of your household.
Not even for Christmas.
Just fucking don’t.

That’s the information. Nothing conflicting here. Don’t be a selfish prick and gather for Christmas. COVID-19 can kill anyone. You don’t need to be of a certain age or have any underlying conditions for it to kill you or leave you with life-long issues, like being on oxygen forever or having a heart attack or stroke. Just because a low number (why is any number acceptable?!) of children have died does not mean it won’t kill your child. Anyone can have it and be asymptomatic and spread it. The end. You could get COVID for Christmas, along with your entire family, and never know who started it.

I know of a local woman who went to the hospital with less severe symptoms, tested positive, and was then sent home because she wasn’t “sick enough” to admit. She died that night in her sleep when her oxygen level dropped too low.

Stay home.
Wash your hands.
Only go out when it’s essential. Have groceries delivered when you can or do curb-side pickup at Walmart.
Wear a mask.
Stay home. Please. Just stay home. Suck it up like the rest of us have to.

And stop fucking whining about it. It’s horrible. We’re all going through it. You aren’t special.

Idk I think people whining aren't probably going that's why they are whinging. My grandmother keeps calling begging us to come over and I feel so bad and miss her but refuse. She's worried this will be her last Christmas and is like.. but you guys already got it!!! I'm like I love grandma but you haven't let's keep it that way.

I will say this hopefully it's a cheerier bit of info. When I went into the ER after I had it the Dr. said the covid going around now isn't as deadly but they don't know why and lots of elderly people and people at risk are doing just fine with it. But that after it they are more susceptible to secondary infections and those are bad. (which is what I got but my at risk father didn't)
My great aunt in a nursing home for lots of reasons and on her last leg nearly keeled over from pneumonia but got covid right after and did fine with it. So hopefully that's a positive thing to cling to.

I agree though just don't risk people, and keep in mind that you don't know the strangers around you, they could be at risk, or even not and a secondary infection might kick them down. Just be safe and respect the safety of others.

It really is such a small ask, but people feel so entitled in this day and age. I have respiratory disease, allergies, asthma and blood clots in both lungs. I cough incessantly, I have 3 inhalers and a nebulizer to help me breathe. I struggle to do that on my own, but I wear a mask when I have to go out, it sucks, but I don't complain!

It's horrific that people like you and I have to beg our fellow citizens not to kill us, isn't it?

It's ridiculous.

You know, I was just watching some silly YouTube video, you know like someone dressed up as a snowman and people walk up to him thinking it's a statue, but then he moves and scares people.

This was shot a few weeks ago in a busy downttown area and in a 20 minute video (which was really hours of footage cut down). I saw hundreds of people, none social distancing and at best half a dozen wore a mask. That's what was really scary!

The ignorance is beyond words. People think magically at the stroke of midnight on the 31st that all will be well just because 2020 is over. It's that same stupidity which will drag this on forever....

I work in a senior living community and three of them just died. The three that died decided to stay in for Thanksgiving because they didn't want to catch covid. A worker brought it in and now they don't get to go to another holiday. If this worker was at least attempting to be safe I wouldn't be mad. She is one that doesn't want her kid to miss out on anything so lets throw a huge party, go shopping everyday. Minimal precautions. I couldn't live with myself.

There's a nursing home not far from me that has over 100 cases now because of this. One of the workers attended a Trump rally and came right back into work for several days before testing positive. A NURSE. But everybody is all mad at our governor for her "handling" of the nursing homes during the pandemic. She was never the problem - the Trump-supporting, anti-mask workers were.

That just sums it up!!

Wash your hands, you filthy animal....You win the internet for the day so keep the change.

Hah! Thanks!

You said it here with crystal clear logic and forcefulness! I want to save this.

I really am afraid the anti-maskers have followed a cult leader down this road to Covid perdition. They are indeed stupid and despicably selfish narcissists. There’s a lot of blood on their hands.

Again, well said!
