Pfft. in Random Thoughts

Well, my weekend has been quieter than I intended, and I still don’t want to go back to work tomorrow, even after 4 days off, but eh. It’s the time of year that I get more off days. Maybe I’ll reset.

So I went and bought new sweats to be comfortable if I went over to S’s yesterday. I got up, and got done what needed doing in the morning, in anticipation of an invite yesterday afternoon, seeing as she’s been asking me over pretty much every off-day-evening. Well, wouldn’t you know it, the one time I’m well rested, prepared, and just far enough over my anxiety of it all to get in the truck and go over there, crickets. Didn’t even hear from her till I think 16:30 or so. Hah. Well, that’s what I get for planning anything. Whatever.

I’ve got a few things I want to do around here, and may actually do. I’ve already figured out the bathroom wall heater that’s not worked since I bought the house is in fact a lost cause, too many parts need replaced, and found a new one that will be a direct fit in for the existing. They’re not horribly expensive either. It’s a 240VAC one, and it’s an odd size, and it’s still under $300. I’m going to order it from Grainger once my paycheck hits the bank on Tuesday. And I finally got around to fixing my mistake when I replaced the dishwasher. The disher and the disposal were both hard wired, which I didn’t like, so I put a plug on the disposal first, then when I got the new disher, I wired a plug cord to it, so that it could be plugged in, then rewired the plug under the sink. Well… Kinda did that wrong. I wired the switch to the top plug without giving it a power source. So, the disposal hasn’t worked in quite a while. But it does now. Still need to replace an outlet on that side of the kitchen as well. Hmmmm.... might should add that in for today.

I have an install tomorrow, so I need to go put the storage tube on top of the van finally. It’s been rolling around in the back for too long. It’s not like it’s hard to do, or is going to take forever, I’ve just been stalling on it like I’ve been doing on too many things. Time to get it done. Might even replace the door opener on the carport. I’ve only had the new one for 2 years, taking up space under my work bench. Why not. I’m gonna go give getting more things done a go. Wish me luck. LOL!

I had an odd dream last night. I was back in Texas, and back at the door company I worked for down there, and giving my condolences to one of the owners after one of his brothers had passed. I realized this morning that the brother I was talking to was the one who passed away several years ago. Felt like a complete ass when I figured that out. I knew all four of them. I’d known the one I saw last night the longest. I can’t fathom how my subconscious screwed that up. But it explains the annoyed/pained look I got from him.
