My singing... in Random Thoughts

I had a little realization about my singing voice. I’ve been in choir both in church and at school, and I was placed as a bass. I do generally sing the low notes, but not always. I’ve been singing this old Steven Bishop song called “On and On”, and I’ve been taking the high lead, instead of taking it down the octave, like I normally do with higher key songs. It’s actually sounding pretty decent, I think. Might be a little… crap I had her name in my head and lost it..... OH! Anne-Murray-esk, but eh. Mind you, I can’t hit a couple of notes comfortably, so I am walking them down a little, but to my ear, it’s working better than trying to stretch to the falsetto notes that Steven hits. I’ve never done falsetto well. My voice is kinda weird, so there are just some things I can’t do. At least I’ve gotten better going really low. I wish I could get more volume on the really low stuff, but eh. The range is a nice thing to have.
Maybe I should try and do another harmony recording, like the one I did with Joshua Kaddison’s “Jessie”. Hmmmm, something to consider.
