Whelp. I went out early this morning in my parents’ little podunk town, and thankfully, there were not a whole lot of people in store. In fact, I hardly saw anyone, which was a huge relief - though the people I did see, many weren’t wearing masks. I got my pics taken (for my work research) at a few different stores and then was done before 8am.
Back to mom and dad’s place where breakfast was served and we sat around the table reminiscing. I still had those old journal entries on my mind from when we lived in Europe back in the 90s, so I brought up the fact that my parents were a little younger than my age when we were over there and I was traipsing around (in my mid-20s) like I’d just been cured of a terrible virus and just learning how to live life.
Haha. I was sooo wild back then.
Drove home shortly after brekkie because I had a Zoom surprise birthday party to attend and I wanted to be at home for that. I have to tell you - I’m just about over doing Zoom anything that’s not a work meeting. I miss true human social interaction. I’m sick of technical issues and screen freezes and trying to understand WTF people are saying through connection issues. And yes, I had a glass of champagne in my hand, but it’s certainly not as much fun as drinking with friends in person.
Ugggh. I just got off the phone with the Bulldog. I don’t know why I even picked up the phone because any time I do, it’s hours of really random discussion. You may or may not remember, but the Bulldog is actually full of conspiracy theories and wanted to rant about the vaccine.
Why do I engage?
Anyway, our conversation took me away from this entry and now I’m exhausted and can’t write anymore. I’ll see if I can pick this back up tomorrow.
G’nite,
GS
