NJM 2020, Entry 21 - This & That in These Foolish Things

Not sure what happened yesterday. I wrote my entry last night and when I got up this morning I checked PB and saw that it hadn’t posted. I am so glad that PB does that weird thing where your whole entry will show up if your post doesn’t go through.

I did a naughty thing and ordered a pizza tonight. I’m just sick of my own cooking and I honestly had nothing in the fridge anyway. So. Pizza and salad it is while I watch The Undoing. I think I heard about the show here on PB.

And now I’m done with the first season. Oooohh. I can’t stand not being able to binge this!

Guess it’s back to Red Oaks. Gotta catch up with my dad. I don’t like it as much as other binge-y shows, but it gives my dad and me something to have in common and talk about when I visit.

I’ll be going back out to visit tomorrow for my niece’s 5th birthday. I think she’s going to love the camera! And then I’ll be back again on Thursday for Thanksgiving. So much togetherness. Maybe a little too much togetherness. At least I can go home pretty much whenever I want.

Today I hung out a bit with my friend S and her husband. My old neighborhood is one of those artsy hoods with many, many studios and funky spaces and every year they do an open studio event where all of their wares and projects are on display. This year it was all outdoors. It was nice to walk around in the fresh air with a couple of friends and then we had lunch and a couple of mimosas at my now-favorite outdoor spot (same place we went last week AND the same place I where I hung out with S.S.).

Anyway. Wow. The soundtrack to Red Oaks is the soundtrack of my late teens and 20s. I am digging it hard. Also, Paris. Watching this show and reading about my time in Europe in the early 90s is making me soooooo sentimental.

I gotta go. Bedtime.

P.S. Oh hell. All my sheets and duvet are in the dryer! Gotta go make the bed. Best thing ever: fresh, warm sheets! xo
