[Rant Warning: I’ve hit my breaking point with this pandemic]
I just heard an interesting take on this pandemic. I only find it interesting because I have explored my shadow and I know what’s there. It’s weird to hear it out loud from somebody else. It was an Australian economist who said something brutally honest about this pandemic. She brought up the thing that nobody wants to talk about… how there are more people dying from circumstances surrounding COVID than there are of people dying from COVID. There is no right way through this pandemic. We’re not going to snuff this out. The moral ultimatum is that if you don’t agree to be groomed for a socialist government (pray for Australia) then you’re evil and don’t care about sick people. An argument that can be used both ways because these lockdowns are also causing deaths. Persistent losses to income lead to more deaths, not fewer. That’s like some bonafide rocket science right there right? This economist had a just let this virus cleanse the earth of the sickly because these lockdowns are proven to be a greater threat to human life attitude which is, of course, not received well. We live in a society that is already sick and vulnerable to disease. I agree with her that we have to face it head-on and accept the reality that there is going to be casualties no matter which policy choices we make. Be it COVID directly or from circumstances surrounding COVID. Hospitals and doctors have gotten better at treating it, I don’t know what good timing would like though. Sure, it is easy for me to say because I don’t feel particularly vulnerable to that 2% mortality rate as I do not have any underlying health conditions. I work hard to keep it that way. Am I health shaming? Am I rubbing in my health privilege? I’m conservative, I believe that privilege comes from choice.

Personally, it grinds my gears to be expected to wear a mask to protect people who abuse their lungs with weed, tobacco and god knows what else. I work hard to keep my body alkaline, inhaling my own waste will undo that. I believe in a private business’s right to set conditions for entry so I will comply and just be in and out. If masks become mandatory by my government then I don’t see why we can’t ban tobacco, dairy and fast food if our health is suddenly so damn important now. Those underlying health conditions that are making COVID-19 so lethal for some are preventable, in almost every case. Not that anybody is ready to admit that there is a link between nutrition and obesity, diabetes, heart disease, hypertension, respiratory diseases & common cancers. Fun fact: treating breast cancer while still consuming cheese is like putting out a fire with gasoline. How horrible is that mainstream science will not let that information out? How many lives can be saved with that one? Also, there are two types of cardiologists: vegans and those who haven’t seen the data. blah

The economy is not an evil selfish machine. For example, it was supplying 25 million Nigerians that had food insecurity before we shut that supply chain down. People get to feed themselves and their families. I heard that some states in Australia have meat shortages? Free citizens need papers to travel and attend essential work? Police going door to door to check their homes? When did Australia go into a full communist rule? Are we really conditioning ourselves to view liberty as selfish? These lockdowns are just as selfish and causing more harm than good and this Australian economist wasn’t afraid to say it. I assume that Australia is allowed free speech during its free trial of communism? They don’t have a Clinton Cartel there do they?

I want to see Democrat leaders on trial for their egregious levels of incompetence. They won’t let people be with their loved ones while they die from COVID but rioting is okay. You can’t attend a funeral but you can burn, loot and murder. They were the ones sending sick patients into nursing homes. There has to be something that they can be charged with. They’re letting their constituency down just so they can have something to blame Trump for. They stonewall all of Trump’s efforts and then say it’s all Trump’s fault go out and vote… via mail-in ballots of course because we don’t want schools and churches open, you know, where voting happens. Then the chosen woke ones who watch the news will respond with yas! We hate Trump and that is ALL we understand. Ok! I don’t trust this vaccine. I don’t want this vaccine until I see what’s in it. If it is sourced from aborted babies I’m out. If it is going after my RNA I’m immigrating. If it’s mandatory I will fight it. Dammit, my government is doing a “buyback” of guns to make sure we can’ defend ourselves against government tyranny. My government is not managing my DNA, hell no. Trudeau ordered enough syringes for each Canadian to get a vaccine twice. I don’t trust that. I don’t trust that China loving, communist worshipping, dictatorship envying… ok, I need to calm down. I’d rather get antibodies the real way, that’s all I’m saying. There is just way too much information regarding the longterm effects of surviving COVID. However, every study ever has shown that it is the individuals who are suffering from the result of bad nutrition and lifestyle habits are the ones who might die. The plan was to get herded immunity, not to snuff it out and/or wait for a vaccine. Protect the elderly, isolate the vulnerable while the rest of us faced it head-on so it wouldn’t be so contagious but nooooo we had to make it political because everything is made political now. There were 60.8 million US cases of H1N1 under Obama and everybody blamed China. 4.7 million US cases of C19 under Trump and everybody blames Trump. Spoiler alter, both viruses were Made in China. The World Health Organization covered for China, which is documented. Trump did the right thing in defunding the WHO and denouncing China. The conservative party is claiming that they will follow suit and defund the WHO also if they win the Chinadian election.

Ok, I feel better ranting. Sorry if you don’t like me for it but it’s my job to like me. Long story short. We’re fucked either way with COVID. I don’t agree to believe that shutting the economy down is doing less harm. It’s definitely protecting the decision-makers eh? Maybe it’s just me being bitter that this pandemic pulled the rug out from under me and left me jobless or maybe this isolation is starting to affect my mental health or maybe I really am a monster because I care about the people who are actually suffering from this lockdown and isolation. Essential workers be like wear a mask protect us we’re better than you lol ok I don’t actually believe they think that. I am jealous, I will admit that. This job search is even harder now. Ok, I’m going to go to bed now.

I agree with a lot of this I'm too tired to go into which parts but honestly most of it. I do think wearing a mask isn't such a big deal. There are people in danger who have lived healthy lives and while no I don't think the world should stop to protect them, I do think we can wear a mask in public. My father could die if he gets this because of how he was born and his age, nothing to do with his life choices.

People at his work site keep coming down with the shit and coming into work and not wearing masks. It's ridiculous.

People with cancer or no antibodies or weak immune systems many of which haven't done anything to cause these things (not all may be not most but many) could easily be protected by me putting on a mask when I drop in for some groceries.

My husband works at a pharmacy which is like COVID Central during this mess and people snap at him all the time about not wanting to wear a mask. Just wear the bloody thing get in and get out!

I feel though that some places need more of that in general though. Like wouldn't it be freaking great if when people caught the damn flu they'd just wear a mask if they had to go out in public until they weren't contagious?

I don't even feel like it's a Covid thing, it's just a respect thing.

I have not seen one single person utilize their mask correctly. The moment they touch it to adjust it, game over. It's a biohazard now. It's just virtue signalling. No mask = you hate old people. wearing a mask = I'm virtuous as fuck and my morality is better than yours. I social distance, sanitize and follow all the other fun BS. The mask is to protect other people, not yourself. If you're wearing a mask to protect yourself you are already failing, especially if you are not utilizing it properly.

Like, I'm job hunting and I'm already annoyed that they're going to make me mask up. I'm not going to be better than anyone when it comes to utilizing it. Then my ph levels will make me vulnerable to it. Like, make it make sense. The government is going to put that virus in us anyway. The vaccines trials are not promising at all.

Walking Crow TL ⋅ August 14, 2020

I'm not sure I understand all of this entirely?
You are morally superior to me?

TL Walking Crow ⋅ August 14, 2020

I read my comment back to myself and I sounded like Ben Shapiro, gross. I will fail to utilize my face mask correctly. I am whining about people using face masks as a political statement to show how virtuous they are instead of what they are meant for.

Walking Crow TL ⋅ August 14, 2020

I 100% am with you on that! The face mask thing not the Ben Shapiro thing, I had faith in you. lol
To add to your point, A customer came into the pharmacy X works at and began to give him a lecture about how people aren't taking this virus seriously. (while his mask was hooked under his nose) =-=

TL Walking Crow ⋅ August 14, 2020

That's hilarious and disturbing at the same time. I have a death wish and since I see masks becoming mandatory I finally ordered some online but they all have MAGA Trump 2020 etc on them. People will be telling me to remove my mask real quick.

Walking Crow TL ⋅ August 15, 2020

Omg yes, that is amazing.

I need to get some Hail Satan ones :p

KissOfLife! August 17, 2020

Okay, I think you need to visit here to see we are not in a "communist trial" LOL.
