Out of Left Field and she gone... in Life in the Lost Lane...

Wow, just one crazy damn thing after another, just found out that dumb SIL had gotten arrested for public intoxication with her new boyfriend over the weekend. How the hell can you say that you want all your kids back if you continue to make the same mistakes, going deeper and deeper into the dark hole in which you came from? I dont know, maybe my standards as a person are just so high they are unable to be reached by a mere mortal? I believe that if you are dumb enough to bring an unplanned child into this world, one you either do the right thing, keep him/her do the best of your ability to make something for that child, two give it up for adoption, children are a privilege they are not a money machine to get money from the government. Its all very simple, maybe i am just better informed than most people and the only education i have is a high school diploma. There are places out there that offers FREE birth control, use it! Get fixed, i knew a girl i went to school with had done this about 2 years ago, she knew from a very young age she wanted NO children, she took care of the thing that would cause it. Get on a long term birth control. There are tons of ways to get on it. Be proactive. I hate also when i here people, "i am from a bad environment, ex: living in a low income place, high crime, etc...Do better for yourself, YOU are the only one that can change that. If you want better for yourself DO it. There are so many people on state assistance that it amazes me. I for one was raised that you do the best you can, get a job, pay your bills and don't use state aid. I totally believe in WIC, but i consider that different, Medicaid, Food Stamps, some people love this, i just saw an article about how a couple scammed the government and used the money they got from the state to fund their yacht, mansion, they are now on the lamb of course. I personally think that if we are expected to do drug tests for our jobs, shouldnt it be a mandatory requirement for people receiving state assistance to take the tests also? I wonder how many people are taking illegal drugs? And the things people come into the emergency room for that they could have gone to a free clinic or low income clinic. The emergency room is not for simple things, earaches, sore throats, coughs, pregnancy tests, STD checks, seriously people! The emergency room is for true dire emergencies! The stories i've heard just amaze me. I had read on a hospital's website what consists as an emergency and what you can go to a local doctor for. Wow thats just crazy that one has to be told what constitutes as a true emergency. I try not to watch the news, its so very depressing also. Grrrwl
