It took 3 trips to the alf ( thankfully I live close or I would have been really mad) to finally speak to Rainbow bright. I have 8 hours pto and I am going to use them up. Gave her the paper work and then spoke to alison the d.o.n. and Gawd what a bitch she is. When she looked at the paper work and seen all the things I can't do...she was mad. I think her hair was burning or starting to anyway. I know for a fact they thought I would be ready to just jump right back in and starting hauling people around. O hell to the no. So I have physical therapy for 2 weeks - 3 x a week. The day I go back I have a follow up appt. with the doctor again and yes I will be late.
I was told they didn't have "light duty"....no. You have light duty you just don't want ME to have light duty. I don't care. While I was at the drug store I got a call from a home health agency and have an interview there wed. at 1. I figure work at 2 agencies - 8 paychecks a month that should cover me o.k. Well now things are sssslowly moving along. In the mean time I am packing my lil heart out and getting more organized each and every day. Thankfully OCD does have a good purpose.
One of my residents passed a way while I was gone. It was a husband of one of the first couples that moved into where I work. Too be honest his body just got tired and said - "Let's go"... its' time to get oughta here and that is exactly what happened. His body along with his mind ( he suffered from dementia) said - I'm done. His wife is holding up well. She was happy to see me. So that's good.
Going to finish watching Ellen then take the kids for a walk then keep on keepin on. My agency just called and now they have 3 more days with making dinner for Paul. Tues.Wed. and Th. nights at $14 a pop that isn't too bad. I just need to make some descions here and quick No dillydalling around here. Can't say no to good $. Beats counting bruises on residents. Now I just have to call w.c. and ask how this all works once I quit the alf. Just good to know that I am wanted. Yea :)
