Today we had a long day, visited the Cosmonaut museum in the afternoon, and a night tour of Moscow.

But the morning was again idle. We got a late start, with me getting breakfast at Panorama bar and then La Professeure’s parents joining me first, then her. I checked facebook. We then went to the Sky bar for me to play the piano. It was empty, but eventually a guest came up and said she could hear me from downstairs public area.

After lunch, we got on our tour to the Cosmonaut museum. It took 40 mins to get there, and then wait for the rain to die down before heading in. So by the time we arrived it was already 4. we only spent 2 hours there, but the guide was very knowledgeable, so she pointed out the most important highlights - the Mir module mock-up, Soyeux mock-up, Sputnik mock-up, landing module, etc.... My favourite part was the papers that Stalin used to jail future astronauts. The Google word lense came in handy, and could translate Gagarin’s letter explaining how ridiculous his accusations were. I wish we had more free time on our own though.

We got back, had dinner, and hopped out at 6 to have a Moscow night tour. By the time we went out the sun was still up, but we got to see a sunset on the way out. We got to the Red Square again (the 2nd time), and saw GUM, and the Red Square and St. Basil church all lit up. It got completely dark then. We then proceeded to the Moscow river and had a boat ride around the golden island. The sites were beautiful, and we got to see many buildings and monuments that we couldn’t see by bus or on foot. Finally the bus took us back on Sparrow hill to see the panorama at night. It was a good site, but we were more distracted by the loud biker gang that was gathering there than the actual site itself.

By the time we got back to the boat, it was 12:30. I promptly got a shower and headed to bed.
