Fuckity.... in Thirty-Five

Alright, so let me get this all out real quick.

Randy hasn’t been able to work since January of last year. We’ve been working with the mortgage company to get extensions on the payment while were getting Randy’s disability sorted.

He’s been denied twice, and they have already closed the case. He even called the same company that I used and they said they couldn’t help him.

So, we’ve got some things sorted out, like food stamps so we’ll have food. We have help with the bigger bills. Well the one big bill which is the electricity.

But, I only get $750 a month. Our total bills, without the mortgage ($700) are about $500. So we are left with $200 for whatever else we need. Personal products, rat and dog food, and if we want to buy food when we’re out and about. So, that’s not a lot.

We have been waiting for the mortgage company to send us the final sale date, which they did, and it’s March 4th. As in Next Wednesday. We don’t know when the thing will sell, we’re waiting for the official “you have to be out of the house by this point” letter.

We already have a plan in place, which is to go to NM and live with my dad, but the way it stands, the house isn’t completely liveable for 3 people. The room we would be using has a weak floor, no carpet, mold and it’s just NOT a good room. There’s a lot of work that needs to be done to the whole house. It’s 80 years old, has all the original electrical work and no ceiling. the roof was just redone last year or the year before, so at least there’s that.

I really don’t know 100% what we’re going to do.

Ideally we’d find a 5th wheel and a cheap plot of land, or live in my dad’s back yard until we can fix the house where it’s liveable for us all.

So anywho, we got a letter in the mail yesterday saying that this company could help us with all of that and to call them. So he did call them today and set something up, but then he researched the company and found nothing but bad reviews, that someone actually lost their house because of this company and all the money.

He will be calling the mortgage company tomorrow and see if they can offer anything like that, and if not, we’ll be doing our original plan.

I’m not surprised, not really disappointed, just kind of angry that there are still people out there that fucking do this shit to people.

Anyway, that’s all for now.

Can he retain a lawyer to dispute the denial and appeal it? I know social security lawyers don't get paid unless you win, so you won't need to pay upfront. Perhaps the mortgage company will wait for payment if they know you've retained a lawyer to help appeal?
