So the pupper is now just over 11 weeks old. She was born December 7th. She’s gotten all her puppy shots and should be ready to be spayed in another week or two. Last Wednesday at the vet she weighed exactly 6lbs. I don’t really see her getting a whole lot bigger… maybe 10lbs. She’s absolutely adorable but also a hell demon. The other dogs still don’t want to play with her much, but they do play with her some. You have to keep in mind that two of them will be 12 and the third will be 14 in April, so they’re older. She is still absolutely terrified of the pigs and she acts like a badass to the goats until they come near her and then she hides behind us. I mean, I get it, the pigs probably weigh around 150 lbs each and aren’t always gentle and the noises they make scare her.
I have managed to catch up on most of the laundry. And I’ve cleaned most of the house. I got s bed frame for the mattress upstairs and set that up. I still need to clean the sheets for that bed, but I had to catch up on everything else first.
I really need new flooring on the main floor and once that’s done I plan on getting some new furniture. The dogs have ruined the couches. It would be nice if Buster’s little ass would stop peeing on everything, but I’ve never been able to break him of it.
James finally went to a doctor. I set him up with reasonable health insurance and he hasn’t seen a doctor since he was 18. Apparently his blood pressure was a little elevated and his cholesterol is way high. So the doctor wants him to eat better and try to lose some weight. We’re at the beginning stages of that and trying, but we need to go through some of the food we bought recently. He was kinda down about it but I was like “Dude, what did you expect it to be? Look at what you eat. You basically live off hot pockets, pizza rolls, frozen pizzas, soda, and anything else you can microwave.” So I guess I’ll be cooking more. Cutting back on red meat, carbs, dairy, and trying to eat more fresh veggies. Limit saturated fats etc. Right now he’s really grumpy about it because less caffeine etc. Hopefully it’ll pass soon because I’m fixing to start and if we’re both grumpy I’ll want to punch him in the throat.
I called the rheumatologist they referred me to and he wasn’t taking appointments until July, so I looked up a different one with better reviews and had my doctor send my files to them and I have an appointment on March 30th. Also talked to my mom about everything going on and she was like “oh yeah, when your sister was in 5th grade I had a lot of those symptoms and they told me I had lupus but I never really did anything about it.” Of course that was 25 years ago, and she had me when she was 25, so I’m the same age lol. Of course I’ve read it’s not uncommon to have both lupus and fibromyalgia so I guess we’ll see.
That’s about everything going on.. going to a book con in Gatlinburg in June and then a big book con in Savannah at the end of July. Already booked the hotel for Savannah, but still need to book a cabin for Gatlinburg. Lots of planning and need to save money. Oh, and did my taxes and actually got a decent amount back this year. But I think I’m putting that towards bills right now.
