I was in NYC for a friend's bachelorette party. The bachelorette part was okay, but the city is what really got me. Now I know how @shambhala feels...the energy is overwhelming. In a positive way! I really felt like it was contagious- everyone walks so fast (which I LOVE) and everyone walks EVERYWHERE (which I also love! I lost three pounds in three days!). I used to feel as if such a big city was anonymous. But it's almost like...there's always people around so you can't be anonymous? Does that make sense? For example, when we were dressed to the nines random guys kept shouting out "You girls are beautiful!" A random dude commented on my legs and how cold they must be (I was wearing no tights and a dress in like 15 degree weather) and said "brrrr" and I smacked him with my clutch and that doesn't really mean anything; just the casual energy there is so...contagious! I read on nerve.com once I think that this is the city where relationships are taken much less seriously. I wonder if that's the truth? I'm back in Atlanta now which I also love but having serious nyc withdrawals. oh well! I'm about to graduate with my bachelor's in May if I can survive. This entry is so damn stupid. hits save
