Pilots know this terminology. It is the point in their route that they have to decide can we make it to our destination or should we turn back. If they miss judge their fuel consumption, wind speed, and drag, they crash. It’s that point of no return. You reach a place where you make a commitment. It’s all or nothing.
I have reached a few of those points in my life. I would go all in. Sometimes I made it to the destination, other times I fell flat on my face. There is an old adage that says, the greater the risk the greater the potential reward. The problem is most misread the message. One word makes all the difference. POTENTIAL–
And just like one word can make a difference so can one letter. You can have dessert or you can have desert. With one you can eat a sweet with the other you eat sand!

Poet and pot.
There are many but that's all at the tips of my fingers right now. Ow.
