A little humor to brighten your day…True Story by the way..

True story from my days working one of the hospital floors. I went in to check on a patient who had turned on her call light. Back in those days I seldom, if ever knew what the patient was in the hospital for, I was just there to make their stay as pleasant as possible. (Yes, I can play nice with others). I had been in her room several times this day and she asked me for a band-aid for a spot on her arm. I told her it would cost her. She asked how much. I laughed and replied, “I am thinking an arm and a leg.” She looked at me and said,” If you want the leg you have to go down to where they keep them after the cut them off!” Yeah, you guessed it......she had just had her leg amputated. Needless to say, I apologized profusely, (several times) and not only brought her band-aid, but applied to the spot. Good thing for me she was a nice sport. Talk about foot in mouth!
