The Problem of Hills in 2020

So todays run was the 2nd where I left the comfort of my estate. We moved here last July and most of the estate is still under contruction. It would be perfect for a parkour expert. It serves well for the slightly image conscious mid 30s diabetic to run around.

Anyhow as you leave the estate you can turn left or right. Today I chose left. The program im doing does impact training, mixing runs and walks. So it happened that timing and my left choice ment every run for the 1st half was up hill. Darn near killed me. And run 3 was like a mounting railroad slowly clicking its way upwards.

I thought id have to stop, or at least pause. And both of those are ok. But I managed to make it and the 2nd half was downhill with the wind behind me.

So next weeks 3 runs will be harder. I may hit a progress wall. But I am proud its ongoing and its happening still.

I feel a little the Imposter. Like I see proper runners and dont feel I am them. That my walking and running mix is not proper excercise. But I remind myself that the being worn out is real and that its really what counts.

Thanks for those who have encouraged too. I hope my musings on here are of intrest. It helps me by adding an additional dimension to what im doing.

Next one on Tuesday. Time to fold washing.
