My Frustration with the Human (Animal) Condition in Refugee from Open Diary Apocalypse

Humans (the developed kind) are inevitably dissatisfied with their lives, and constantly crave growth, even at the expense of society and others. Humans are terribly selfish, and are never content with what they have. One would think that humans with their brilliantly evolved brains, would find ways to improve society, their families, and their lives and would be immune to acting like animal (or worse), but this does not seem to be the case. Humans are prone to cheating, lying, stealing and exploiting. I have seen this and we are all part of this breed of human. None of us are immune.
