My husband, who said he never wanted to have more than two pets again, got tired of waiting for the foster dog to back to her owner, so he adopted a puppy on Tuesday. She’s a six week old Catahoula/German Shepherd/Pit mix, and she’s completely adorable - but puppies are exhausting! That being said, the cuteness makes up for a lot, and while our Great Dane is like, “What the hell is this tiny thing?” our foster Boxer is absolutely momming all over her. It’s sweet but a bit much.
He also said I can get a cat, but I think I’m going to wait until the foster baby goes before I add another animal to this chaos! I don’t think I want a kitten, maybe a young cat or just an adult - I’m going to go to the shelter and just find one with the right personality, but I’m secretly dreaming of a big orange tabby I can call Crookshanks.
The puppy’s name is Phaser, because Star Trek. Yes, we are a house full of geeks.
