Some lawyer I am. I've been going along just assuming I couldn't qualify for unemployment benefits until 13 weeks after I quit my job because, well, I quit. And there is a 13-week disqualification period. Plus the week when you're eligible but have to wait, but you need to apply for the week.
So 13 was the magic number. Except when I was getting near here (June 13 last day of work), I finally looked up the rules. It isn't clear, but possibly I would have qualified right away because I quit for "good cause," which is to take another job, though that one fell through.
I applied yesterday, which still leaves the 13 week question, but the benefits wouldn't go back early than this week because there are other things you have to do week by week along the way.
Like log at least 2 job apps each week. I logged three today.
One is for a school bus driver job. The computer form said to list all US addresses I've every had. I went back to about 1977, but can't think of how to find the others. I guess I could have put my childhood address down. This is for a background check. They don't have space enough to describe generally where I lived, like, "In the basement of a house on the west side of East St. in York across from a grade school."
Had a really lousy "love making" experience last night. I could just refer back to any number of previous entries for details. The last thing I want to do is do anything of the sort tonight. But Candi is wanting to have a good session to make up for that one. She pays the bills these days, sooooo .......
Social security used to send notices of what you would get upon early or regular retirement monthly. They haven't don't that for awhile. I would have 3 years to early retirement.
Speaking of age and mortality, I had the insurance company take me off of automatic withdrawal for term life for September so it doesn't bounce. I'm hoping to be able to pay by the end of the month.
