Life at the cage I in About my hooman

I was born at a puppy mill in Oklahoma on June 18th 2016. My first weeks went smoothly since my mother loved and fed me, but I didn’t like it when my breeders took me away from my family. They put me on a plane and sent me far away; I didn’t know where I was going, nor could I understand why the carriers would treat me like merchandise. I went through hell, for I was tiny and defenseless and even though I was a little drowsy from the drugs, I developed acrophobia and colitis.
I finally reached my destiny, a pet store located somewhere in Mexico and here I stand. I have been temporarily assigned with two keepers whose names are Gary and Sandy. They are sweet, I can’t complain, but I live in a cage. People and children get to stare at me all day long and I hate it when they ask my keepers to take me out. Kids love to pet me, but they’re hideous; “I know I’m cute, but you can’t afford me, get over it”.
Meanwhile, I keep waiting for my hooman. You know, when my mission was stated, a few months before I was assigned with this body, they promised that I would have a hooman, and they said that we would recognize each other right away. All I know is that she’s taking too long and I’m not getting any younger.
