Is a range of days occurring on a weekly basis, usually typified as "Saturday" and "Sunday". This can also include a "long weekend" which may stretch to include "Friday" and/ or "Monday".

And now you know; and knowing is half the battle.

My weekend was good. It was pretty fantastic in the grand scheme of things, actually.

Friday evening was spent initially organising kit for 5KRem which is a LARP set in something akin to the STALKER universe, if you've played that computer game. If you haven't I'd recommend it. It's very challenging. Basically Fallouts violent step father. Or maybe Metro 2033.

We head out on Saturday to Hexham and the Zones. It was definitely a good day for it. Sunny enough to keep away the rain but not so bad that we roasted when running around and fighting. At the moment I'm playing Zak McGregor, a rather violent mercenary with a dark and shady past. The only problem is that Zak is a highly trained Ex-special Forces Merc. Adam is a 32 year old who's far too out of shape for his own good. I keep forgetting this when I'm in character and trying to do things that Zak can do. Adam can do them too but pays for them severely later on.

Saturday night was spent in the company of a bottle of bourbon; my brother; Jozo; and "Cloudy with a chance of meatballs 2". The bottle helped with the pain caused by pretending to be Zak for several hours. The movie was less helpful. It's enjoyable and if you get a chance to see it I would say do but don't expect it to be anywhere near as good as the first one because it really, really isn't. The animation and everything is fine but... Have you seen Jurassic Park 2? It's like that. Actually it's a lot like that.

Which, from a linear perspective, would bring me on to sunday. Sunday was also good because it was the date for my date. I had a nice lie in (by my standards anyways, I got up around 10). Was relaxing around the flat and playing [DDO](http://www.ddo.com) when Shep comes belting in from his bedroom and asks for a lift to his girlfriends. Apparently something terrible has happened and he needs to go fulfil "boyfriend obligations".

On re-reading that it sounds sexual. I meant emotional obligations, obviously. You sick sick people.

Anyhow I gave him a lift over. It wasn't too bad, actually. Quite a nice little drive in some parts.

By the time I got back, it was time to start making myself look fantastic for my date. 3 1/2 weeks later I was done.

We met at the Cumberland Arms. I think we both wanted somewhere a little familiar where we could graciously back out if we weren't enjoying ourselves. Fortunately this was not necessary. Katie (for this is her name) is a person who I am interested in getting to know more about. For example; does she spell it "Katy" or "Katie". That's right Adam, go for the big questions.

Seriously, though. It was a fun afternoon and I much enjoyed her company. We're quite different in some regards but similar enough in others and this is something I like. Also pretty funny. I do like a lass who can make me laugh.

Anyhow, the date went well and we're going to see each other again I think. I'd like to and she said she would too. I've learned not to take this as a definite so, as she's away from the county this week, I think giving her a week to mull it over and then asking her out again is the most positive way of doing this.

If nothing else, and if nothing comes from it, at least I can say I had a fun weekend and I did it. No procrastination; no worrying; no over-thinking. I am AWESOME some times.

Edit: Oh, forgot. Ramblerambleramble.
