It’s the most wonderful time of the year. Maybe if you are a kid. And then that depends on your social status. If you are an adult…all bets are off.
Christians celebrate the birth of Christ on Dec 25 which is ironic since most likely Jesus was born during the early spring. But hey, anything to bring the world together for one day can’t be bad.
The emphasis is so much on what a person gets for Christmas that the real meaning is lost. But then again, we are celebrating the birth of Jesus. I wonder how He feels about it? Of course, I wonder about a lot of things.
So as we carry on the madcap tradition which officially kicks off now on Thanksgiving, remember it just another day like any other, A day for the rich to get richer and poor to get poorer. And as “Eyeore ” says in his gloomy voice, “Thanks for noticing me.”

We are celebrating the return of the sun/son. It's ok. Maybe not great, but ok. We can choose how we do it. Big. Little. Quiet. Noisy. Expensive. Cheap. Spiritual. Secular. Our chose, totally.
