It's here! in At the foot of the hill

This is the day we fly off to visit my sister and her family in California… I have packed and re-packed several times. This morning I will take everything out of the suitcases and start over from scratch…
Our plane leaves at 5:40 PM but we are hitching a ride with Mike who is flying out earlier than we are, so he is picking us up at 2:00. Guess we’ll be sitting at the gate for awhile but that’s okay. Once we get thru security the hard part is over. Not planning to take any carry-ons except my new, very large (for me) purse. We will both be using wheelchairs to get thru the very large Denver airport and will qualify for early boarding.
I woke up for the third trip to the bathroom at 3:30. Went back to bed but not back to sleep. I finally got up at 5:30 and tried to nap in my recliner, which I do sometimes, but no, it didn’t happen. Finally gave up at 6:00, put the coffee on and here I am. It’s a beautiful bright sunrise out there. Supposed to be nice on the other end as well. Guess we’ll be flying in the dark. Too bad. I love looking out the window of the plane and trying to guess where we are.
