I’m so excited to have a day off tomorrow! Aaron and I are going to an oddities shop that is closing next month and then getting some sale wine at the fancy wine shop. First, there will be sleeping in. Mmmm....

My father found a dead rabbit in our yard. He is being extremely dramatic about it and its disposal. He is getting no sympathy from my mother (who works in an ER and has to deal with dead people and their families) or me (who euthanaizes people’s family members for a living and deals with their grief). The rabbit looks like it died running, so probably the best way a rabbit can go and it probably made lots of little baby rabbits in its lifetime as it appears to be full grown. I think his drama is partially because he is surprisingly sheltered and partially because he is lazy and doesn’t want to have to deal with it. I probably sound like an asshole but…things die and it’s part of nature :/

Last night Johnny and Arty were snuggling and Arty was licking the top of Johnny’s head. It was very sweet.

I want to buy these boots:

Definitely buy those boots!

I would not have time for rabbit drama, either. I’m so deep in cat drama, a dead rabbit is (literally) out of the running. Yes, it is very sad. But he cannot be helped.

I did!

I took "he cannot be helped" both as my father AND the rabbit cannot be helped :P

Ha! I meant the rabbit, but it does work multipurpose.

Haha it does and I liked it

We had an in-ground pool when I was a kid, and one day we found a rabbit floating in the filter, dead. Me, being the dramatic kid I was, insisted on giving it a proper funeral/burial, and even erected a tiny cross on the grave. So I'm Team Dad here. :)

Haha I feel like that's appropriate. The thing with my dad, though, was he was trying to get someone else to dispose of it for him by being dramatic :P
