This whole being an invalid thing is kind of boring. It's nice not having the stress of school and I love watching hours of Golden Girls but...eh I miss doing something with myself. Well, it's not entirely true that I have nothing to do, but it's tedious, stressful stuff involving my medical leave of absence, tuition reimbursement, and such. Whee! Oh! And I'm supposed to write a paper. My Avian professor gave me the opportunity to finish up that class so I won't have to take it again next year since pretty much the only thing I had left for that class was the final paper. It shouldn't be that bad, but I asked him to give me until the end of March to complete it as I have all this paperwork to work on and chemo on Monday, which makes me sleepy for several days and fairly useless in the area of concentration.
On a happier note, I'm surrounded by three, cuddly, sleeping dogs. Nemma's front feet are twitching :) And he's farting :P
They've been getting a lot of baths so they can hang out in the bed with me. They're such good company and keep me quite entertained. And they smell good! Aside from the aforementioned farting...
I had an actual outing yesterday! I went to the mall with my mum and Jan (my aunt from California who came to help take care of my grandma while mum is so busy with all the stuff involving me and my lymphoma) and we wandered around. I got another button down shirt to wear for chemo to allow for easy access to my port, a giant sun hat (the chemo is supposed to make me sun sensitive), and a hugely discounted pair of cozy, stretchy, soft jeans that fit nicely and feel like PJs. It was really nice to be somewhere other than home or the hospital.
